COVID VACCINATION

Whitley House Surgery are now able to vaccinate everyone falling in the following categories. If you haven't received an invite and fall into one of these groups, please contact the surgery....

  • Care home residents
  • Care home workers
  • Front line Health and Social Care Workers
  • Over 80 years old
  • 75 - 79 years old
  • 70 - 75 years old
  • Anyone identified as clinically extremely vulnerable from a COVID-19 perspective (who received the government shielding letters)
  • Please act on your invitation when it arrives and make sure you attend your appointments when you arrange them.
  • Please provide us with an up to date mobile number so that you can easily be contacted
  • In the meantime, please continue to abide by all the social distancing and hand hygiene guidance, which will still save lives.
  •  YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED FOR FINANCIAL DETAILS FOR THIS VACCINATION


    Surgery Closed 24th February:
    The Surgery will be closed for staff training from 12pm on Wednesday 24th February 2021. 
    Please call 999 for emergencies or 111 for routine enquiries.

Nurse Led Clinics

Our practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. Our team consists of:

Nurses: Liza Benson, Sandra Swales, Sarah Wells and Healthcare Assistants Colleen, Donna and Tracy

General Clinics

All our nurses can see you for general nursing including family planning, health living advice, blood pressure checks, dressings, vaccinations, contraception advice, smears etc.

Chronic Disease Management

Nurse Sandra can also see you for chronic disease management of Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and Hypertension. Donna and our Clinical Pharmacists can also see you for chronic disease management of Diabetes

Travel Clinics

In order to allocate sufficient resources to core areas of disease management and general health issues, the practice regrets that it is unable to provide a full travel clinic service. Nonetheless, we do still have a limited service in place. For more information please click here:

Travel Health Information

Flu Clinic

Flu clinics for specific patients commence during September and October each year. Look out for signs in the surgery and reminders on prescription counterfoils regarding the timing of these then contact reception to make your appointment if you are eligible.

 Contraceptive Pill Checks

Pill checks are undertaken by the Nurses and are required every six months.
