COVID VACCINATION

Whitley House Surgery are now able to vaccinate everyone falling in the following categories. If you haven't received an invite and fall into one of these groups, please contact the surgery....

  • Care home residents
  • Care home workers
  • Front line Health and Social Care Workers
  • Over 80 years old
  • 75 - 79 years old
  • 70 - 75 years old
  • Anyone identified as clinically extremely vulnerable from a COVID-19 perspective (who received the government shielding letters)
  • Please act on your invitation when it arrives and make sure you attend your appointments when you arrange them.
  • Please provide us with an up to date mobile number so that you can easily be contacted
  • In the meantime, please continue to abide by all the social distancing and hand hygiene guidance, which will still save lives.
  •  YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED FOR FINANCIAL DETAILS FOR THIS VACCINATION

To help mitigate the spread of Coronavirus, Whitley House Surgery has temporarily suspended online booking of all appointments. Please call reception if an appointment is required. We will be asking all patients if they have travelled, have a high temperature, a cough or shortness of breath when they call.

If you have recently returned from abroad or had contact with a person with confirmed coronavirus, please go to https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 or call NHS 111 direct and follow their advice.

Please do not attend the surgery if you have any concerns.

The majority of our Doctor's appointments are pre-bookable and become available from 07.50 Monday to Friday.Patients are able to book appointments online for varying times in the future e.g. 1 day ahead, 2 days ahead and up to 4 weeks ahead.

Some Nurse appointments are now bookable on line. Patients can currently book appointments with a Nurse for a smear and for a contraceptive pill check. Diabetic reviews are also bookable with a Health Care Assistant for those patients that have received a letter in respect of their condition review.

We have a Clinical Pharmacist who undertakes Medication reviews which are also bookable online.

If there are no online appointments available and you feel that a condition requires immediate attention please call the surgery for advice.

Patients with access to their Online Detailed Coded Record are able to view their test results via the Surgery Online service. Please contact Reception if you require further information about this service.

Try The New NHS App

If you are a patient at our practice you can now use the new NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smart phone or tablet. You can use the NHS App to check symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.

If you already use the SystmOne online service you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.
